I have recently acquired my Master of Architecture Degree at the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism at Carleton University. My thesis research focused on a dialogue between contemporary cultures within the Italian city of Bologna, a historically rich and highly preserved city, through the methods used in Hip Hop culture. My undergraduate degree is in History and Theory of Architecture with a minor in Film Studies.
I was born in Iran but grew up in Sweden and spent some time in the USA. Currently, I call Canada my home. I find my interests as diverse as my residency and cultural background. I am most happy when I am creating. Usually those creations include digital and hand drawn art, photographs, and food. I am slowly moving into animation and film as well.
Getting together with Dee and Erin causes a lot of laughs, creative energy and productivity. I find bouncing ideas off of others is a great way to get inspired and help projects move in directions you could never have imagined from the start. Feedback is a great part of the creative process.
I have to confess I am not a writer, and as this is my first blogging experience it may take me some time to get into writing. But I am not one to back down from the new or the challenging, so I shall give it a go. I may fall in love and wonder why I have not done this before. Hope I can offer some food for thought in the process.
